Autumn. Collina and Mount Coglians
Forni Avoltri, the most eastern municipality of Friuli, lies along the banks of the Degano stream and is included in the wonderful area of the Carnic Alps. It is an excellent starting point for several hikes to many high-altitude Alpine huts. It is worth mentioning the paths that, leaving from the hamlet of Collina, climb towards the Marinelli Alpine hut and the Volaia lake, next to the massif of Mount Coglians (2780 metres), the highest in the region.
